MTN DEW® JALAPEÑO POPPERS
Ingredients:
PEPPERS
- 4 jalapeño peppers
- Salt
- 8 bacon strips
- STUFFING
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon minced green onions
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ cup MTN DEW®
DIP
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ½ cup MTN DEW®
- 1 teaspoon lime zest
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 3 drops neon green food coloring
How to make it:
PEPPERS
- Make a fine cut on just one side of the jalapeños, removing seeds and veins with a spoon. As best you can, try to keep the original shape of the pepper without breaking it.
- Once all the peppers are clean, add salt to the insides. Dip them into the MTN DEW® and allow them to marinate for an hour.
STUFFING
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine cream cheese, garlic powder, minced green onions and MTN DEW®.
- Stuff the peppers with the prepared mixture, and wrap in bacon strips, using toothpicks to attach them securely.
DIP
- In another bowl, combine all ingredients needed for the dip
- Grill or bake the peppers until the bacon is crispy, then set aside. Remove the toothpicks and serve alongside the dip.
