Cold Weather Family Activities

This winter, enjoy some family time by bundling up and heading outside!

Build a family of snowmen.
Make it an ongoing project to create a snowman representing each member of your family. Decorate them with spare hats and scarves!

Go sledding!
Get your snowsuits on and head to the nearest park or hill.

Make a snow fort and have a snowball fight.
This is a great activity for parties and family gatherings. Just make sure to lay down some ground rules for safety.

Take the kids skating.
Several parks have free outdoor skating rinks during the winter months. Take advantage of them!

Play soccer/catch/football in the snow.
Some games can be played even when the ground is covered in white. Once you get moving, you won’t stay cold for very long!

Make snow angels.
Join the kids in the fun—just remember to dress in your warmest clothes!
